3 Days in Medellín: Itinerary with Guided Tours
Three days is the sweet spot for a first visit: one day for the city, one for the countryside and one for coffee. Day 1 is your arrival, so it gets a half-day tour: Comuna 13, about 4 hours from Parque El Poblado, where the neighborhood's story is told on its walls, with a breakdance show, cremas ice cream and a panoramic view of Medellín.
Day 2 is the big one, Guatapé and El Peñol Rock. We leave at 7:00 from Parque El Poblado, stop at the rock (the climbing ticket is not included), take a 50-minute boat ride on the reservoir and walk Guatapé's colorful streets. Breakfast and lunch are included.
On day 3, before you fly, you do not need to travel far for real coffee: the coffee tour takes you to a working farm in the hills around Medellín, with pickup at your accommodation, a guided visit, a tasting of coffee and its by-products and a hands-on harvest, in about 4 hours.

Questions about this itinerary
Is 3 days enough for Medellín?
For a first visit, yes. This plan covers the city's story in Comuna 13, the best-known day trip in Antioquia and a coffee farm, and keeps the arrival and departure days light.
Do I need to go to the Coffee Region to visit a coffee farm?
No. The coffee tour visits a working farm in the hills around Medellín in about 4 hours, with pickup at your accommodation. If you have 5 days or more, look at the Coffee Region trip.
Can I make the tours private?
Yes, where a private option exists. Comuna 13 and Guatapé can be booked private (Guatapé private needs at least 4 people). Choose it in the planner or when you book.
