5 Days: Medellín & the Coffee Region
Five days let you add Colombia's Coffee Region to Medellín. Start on arrival day with the coffee tour near Medellín: a working farm, a tasting of coffee and its by-products and a hands-on harvest, with pickup at your accommodation, in about 4 hours.
Days 2 and 3 are the Coffee Region Experience, a private trip with lodging and transport just for your group. You visit Salento and Filandia, two heritage towns, a coffee farm outside Salento, hike among the wax palms of the Cocora Valley and finish in the hot springs of Santa Rosa de Cabal, with the entrance fees included. It is private only, from 2 people, and lasts 1 to 2 nights.
Back in Medellín, day 4 is for Comuna 13 and day 5, before you leave, for the Pablo Escobar history tour, both about 4 hours from Parque El Poblado. They tell how the city went from its hardest years to the place you see today.
